Skywave Broadband announces WiFi and Wired Internet access at the Royal Lahaina Resort

Providing a fully customized, branded, and turn-key solution

HONOLULU - Skywave Broadband is pleased to announce it is now providing and managing WiFi and wired Internet access operations for the Royal Lahaina Resort. This includes access to the newly renovated 12 story, 333-room Lahaina Kai Tower as well as the beach side cottages; a total of 511 guest rooms.

The Royal Lahaina Resort had already invested in providing a wired solution to its guests, however the demand for WiFi was growing and supporting guests with technical support was already becoming an administrative burden. They decided to explore outsourcing.

"We contacted Skywave because we had heard about their WiFi deployments throughout the State and we wondered if they could help,” said Melody Jones, Regional Director of IS for Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts. She continues, “Not only did Skywave customize a solution that met our needs for our guests’ experience, but they seamlessly integrated their system with our existing wired access and now provide a turn-key solution which includes 24x7 call center support."

"We were honored to be considered as a potential vendor by Royal Lahaina Resort," said Matthew Ganote, President of Skywave. "Our management platform was really a perfect fit for customizing and branding their guest experience."

"Our broadband amenity has been enhanced and our guests are happier," said Melody. "Working with Skywave has been a win-win."
